Unusual Lighting History In Tampere
Every year for the last 48 years on the territory of the city of Tampere happen "festival of lights". During these days all city streets and buildings make out the bright colored lights, which consist of both at the moment, when it becomes completely dark. Such an unusual sight will be available free of charge to all local residents and tourism until 6 January 2014.
The ceremony took place on 27 October in the late evening. And the opening ceremony took place right on the Central square of Tampere. All guests will be able to see the laser tale called "song of the snow". It will be shown on the walls of the bell tower of the Old Church. In addition, the event was attended by fire theatre, and even a group of real drummers. After the event could be look at gorgeous fireworks, and what all here - on the lighting of the lights light installations. Every night for the next 10 weeks the centre will be activated 165 light works from the garlands.
Previously only Tampere participated in the "Weeks of light", but now it was joined by another Finnish town of Jyvaskyla. However, in the territory of that city light installations were created thanks to the project "City of light".
For the first time two major British cities, namely Glasgow and London will give residents passes valid on rail transportation.
